Blue Bear Systems develops control systems and platforms for unmanned aerial vehicles and we seek a hard working and passionate communications administrator who is creative and keen to work as part of a small, close-knit team in a fast-paced and innovative technical environment. You will deliver and maintain an up-to-date and informative communication and networking presence for the Business including updating the website, Linkedin, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube etc.  You will coordinate Company presence at Industry events, ensuring all contacts made are captured and recorded and timely follow ups made on behalf of the CEO and Directors. 

This role is ideally suited to someone looking for their first role after qualifying, who is keen to make a mark and offers the rare opportunity to work closely at CEO and director level in a ground breaking business and to learn from the best.
 
Main activities:
  • Develop and maintain the market presence of the Business.
  • Develop and record a corporate events programme for the year ahead.
  • Press releases – prior, during & post events.  Press liaison during shows.
  • Post event follow through, ensure appointments are set up and followed through and contacts are carefully recorded.  Ensure follow up visits are diarised if required.
  • Work with team to produce new brochures / information leaflets on product. Produce marketing and brand literature, banners, merchandise and audio equipment & videos – targeted for events (all in consultation with team).
  • Responsible for Company Newsletter – write, design, email.
  • Supply copy and pictures for directories and trade publications as required.
  • Arrange VIP visits and coordinate with customers.
  • Assist with arrangements for demonstrations of company products (guest lists, invitations, literature etc)
  • General tasks related to business delivery.The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your evolving role within the company and the overall business objectives of the company.

  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Excellent administrative and reception skills
  • The ability to work on your own initiative and be equally comfortable working in a team
  • Professional personal presentation
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good planning/organisational skills
  • Hardworking with the ability to work under pressure in a busy office
  • Degree in Business, Management or Admin related degree

Clearance:  
Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will required to be security vetted to a minimum SC level.
