Blue Bear Systems develops control systems and platforms for unmanned aerial vehicles and we seek passionate “softies” with strong analytical and logical thinking skills who are keen to work as part of a small, close-knit team in a fast-paced and innovative technical environment.

(We may also consider school or college leavers without a degree, provided your interest is keen and you have a history of own projects in this area.)
Main activities:
  • Primarily, you will work within teams to design, develop and test software systems to support both experimental activities and product development.
  • You will be responsible for delivery, reporting and presentation of technical work and writing and submitting any necessary documentation.
  • Experienced senior technical staff will be available to guide you through the earning process, but you will need to be prepared to work hard and learn in order to progress.
  • The above is not an exhaustive list of duties. You will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your evolving role within the company and the overall business objectives of the company.
Essential Education & Skills:
  • Graduate in related field
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Logical and analytical mind
  • Knowledge of programming
  • Good communication skills – oral and written
  • Teamworking 
  • Desirable skills - knowledge or experience of any of: C++, Java, GUI, embedded software, multi-threading, avionics, robotics development, Matlab & Simulink. 
Due to the nature of the role the successful candidate will required to be security vetted to a minimum SC level.
